Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing security measures to protect cloud-based environments. This individual will work closely with our development, operations, and security teams to ensure the highest level of security across a cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions based on Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures for Azure cloud services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the development and deployment process.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud security.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on security-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. [tbd]
- Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture, including Azure Active Directory/EntraID, Azure Networking, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Security Center.
- Hands-on experience with Azure security tools and services, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Policy.
- Strong understanding of network and network security fundamentals, including TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
